Micro-practicing

Understanding grows when you use it.

Stay with the difficult part. That is often where the idea begins to open.

01 Attempt

Put your own thinking on the page.

One question moving through a complete practice loop.

micro-practicing /ˈmaɪkroʊ ˈpræktɪsɪŋ/

The habit of working with one meaningful idea in a small window of time.

Unlike passive review, micro-practicing asks you to retrieve, apply, and explain. The session is short; the thinking is real.

The practice flow

Here’s how micro-practicing works.

  1. 01

    Start with a mini-course

Choose a topic that suits you.

Pick a focused path, from kinematics and waves to statistics or manifolds. Work through one active course at a time and keep your attention clear.

  2. 02

    Meet today’s question

A gentle nudge replaces another open tab.

Your question arrives by text, with a link back to the practice space. Open it when you have a few focused minutes: at your desk, in transit, or between commitments.

  3. 03

    Think deeply about a problem

Think first. Then reveal the worked solution.

Even an incomplete attempt gives your brain something to compare. The solution stays tucked away until you are ready to check your reasoning.

  4. 04

Think aloud collaboratively with an AI Tutor

Dictate a question, then review it.

Your recording becomes editable text. Nothing reaches the AI Tutor until you choose to send it.

  5. 05

    Preview the AI Grader

See what your work could reveal.

The planned AI Grader will look beyond the final answer to give feedback on method, reasoning, and the most useful concept to revisit next.

Why practice beats passive review

Small enough to start. Active enough to matter.

PlanckLabs is designed around a simple idea: familiarity can feel like understanding, but trying to use an idea shows you what you actually know.

Consistency over intensity

A manageable daily prompt lowers the energy needed to begin and keeps the subject close at hand.

Recall over recognition

Attempting a problem asks your brain to retrieve and connect ideas instead of simply recognizing them on a page.

Feedback while it’s fresh

Worked solutions and AI support help you adjust your thinking while you still remember the path you took.

The principle behind the product

Spend less time reading, and more time learning.

A few useful answers

FAQ

How long does a daily question take?

Most sessions are designed to fit into a few focused minutes. Some problems invite a longer derivation, but the daily commitment stays deliberately small.

Will the AI Tutor give away the answer?

It is prompted to coach rather than hand you the answer. It can clarify the question, explain a concept, or suggest a next step while leaving the core reasoning to you.

Is the AI Grader available now?

The grader is still in development. Today, you can compare your attempt with the worked solution and use the AI Tutor to unpack the reasoning.

How do reminders work?

Your question is always waiting in PlanckLabs at Today’s practice. During enrollment, you can independently choose optional email reminders, SMS reminders, both, or neither. Reply STOP to disable SMS without losing the course; leave the course to cancel all pending reminders. Message and data rates may apply to SMS.
